While Hanna's nails were fun, bright, and summery, they're definitely not something I'd wear every day. I'm not a huge fan of yellow nail polish and have to be in the right mood for bright pink. I did, however, love the pattern, so I decided to try out different colors! This combo was definitely my favorite! I used China Glaze's Princess Grace in replace of the yellow and OPI's Sahara Sapphire for the pink!

Make Your Own Dress Form

After about a week of sewing myself clothes, I realized I needed a dress form if I ever wanted it to work out. One of the perks of sewing my own clothes is that I don't have to spend the money on overpriced items. But even with all the money saved, I could not afford a dress form, especially an adjustable one that would fit my shape. So instead, I decided to... make... my... own. I could not have done this without the amazing tutorial from Threads. Check it out here!Wednesday, August 17, 2011

$5 dress... homemade!
So excited to share this dress that I made! I got the materials at Jomar so the total comes in at way under $5, plus I've got tons of fabric left over! It's basically a light gray circle skirt with a darker gray, somewhat sheer circle skirt on top of that. The top is a heathered peach tank (I used my favorite tank top as a template and traced it onto the fabric). The seam where the tank and skirt meet is not very pretty, so I made a quick belt out of the under skirt fabric to conceal it! In total, it probably only took 2-3 hours and I'm super pleased with how the dress turned out! Thursday, July 28, 2011
eos Ulta Moisturizing Shave Cream
I only saw the Vanilla Bliss fragrance and didn't know there were any others so I didn't even get a chance to be bummed that I couldn't track down Cucumber Melon or Pomegranate Raspberry. Oh well, it didn't because this stuff is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I mainly wanted it because the ads in all the magazines said "use wet or dry" and I was interested in whether or not it was true. It is! As long as your razor is wet your skin can be wet or dry! This totally solves that shaving cream runoff problem in the shower. Plus, it's not stinky & foamy like regular shaving cream- it's smooth & creamy just like lotion. The eos shave cream is definitely the evolution of smooth skin!
